Profit and changes: track profit per account
The Profit and changes page shows gross profit after ad costs, warns about deviations and places changes on a timeline with their effect.
- How profit is calculated
- Which warnings exist
- How to read possible causes
Why this matters
ROAS alone does not tell you whether you make money. For that you need your margin. With your business context, Advisionr calculates gross profit after ad costs.
Warnings
You get a warning when spend suddenly changes a lot, when revenue clearly drops or when an account falls below break-even. The same type of warning appears at most once a week.
Possible causes
With a deviation you see which changes happened in that period: by Advisionr, outside Advisionr or new campaigns. These are possible causes; Advisionr does not claim a change is the cause without evidence.
Step by step
Follow this order to avoid drawing conclusions from incomplete data or mixing several changes at the same time.
- Open Profit and changes in the menu.
- Check the profit over the last 30 days per account.
- Read the warnings and possible causes on the timeline.
How to get the best result
Advisionr performs best when data, goals and responsibilities are clear. Use this working method to improve the quality of analyses and decisions.
- Keep your margin and VAT choice up to date.
- Look at the timeline every week.
Common mistakes
- Drawing conclusions from the last few days.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the profit differ from my bookkeeping?
Advisionr uses your stated margin and the conversion value in Google Ads, not your actual costs and returns.
