Optimising product titles and title tests
Advisionr improves product titles via its own supplemental feed source in Merchant Center and uses title tests to measure whether new titles really perform better.

- Which rules titles follow
Why this matters
The title is the most important signal for Google Shopping and Performance Max. A better title can bring more impressions and clicks.
Advisionr does not change your source feed. New titles go through its own supplemental source, which you can switch off at any time.
Rules for titles
Titles are only written in the feed language. EAN codes and words in another language are removed. Before each title, Advisionr checks that the product still exists and has not changed.
Title tests
A title test compares a group of products with new titles against similar products that were not changed, first over a 14-day baseline and then over the test period. If the difference is clearly positive, Advisionr proposes to keep the titles; otherwise the old ones return.
Step by step
Follow this order to avoid drawing conclusions from incomplete data or mixing several changes at the same time.
- Open Product feed and review the proposed titles.
- Approve titles in the Action Center.
- Follow running title tests and approve the outcome.
How to get the best result
Advisionr performs best when data, goals and responsibilities are clear. Use this working method to improve the quality of analyses and decisions.
- Provide complete product data such as brand, colour and material.
- Let a title test run to the end.
Common mistakes
- Changing titles in the source feed yourself during a test.
Frequently asked questions
Can I go back to my own titles?
